| Hello and thank you for visiting my web site. My name is Cynthia. I have been designing wearables for about 45 years. I learned to knit and sew from my mother and became addicted at an early age. I have always loved flowers and got in trouble many times for picking my neighbors(when I was young of course). I now have my own beautiful garden to get inspiration from for the beautiful things I create especially with you in mind. About 2 years ago I learned to spin fiber and the natural progression was to learn to hand dye that same fiber to the beautiful colors we find in our world. Mother nature is truly an amazing woman. I don't use a pattern for my garments as I work in a technique called Freeform or Scrumbling and that allows me to use what ever fiber I want irrelevant to the gauge or needle size-I find that very unleashing to the creative process. If you have ever seen a beautiful Victorian Crazy Quilt then you know how I design my garments- I also make my own felt from Merino and Cormo fiber-once the felt fabric is made then I can cut it and do embroidery and other surface design work using beads(both commercial and lampworked by me)and other unusual findings. I have been hand painting on beautiful Charmeuse Silk for about 25 years now. My silk ties-mostly with beer and wine motifs are worn by men all over the world. The famous beer guru from England(now deceased-we miss him greatly)Mr. Michael Jackson-wore my ties always. Sadly I cannot accept custom orders as I find that puts to much of a constraint on the flow of creativity-I feel sure you will find you hearts desire in the varied selections I have for you.
